Applications for the 2016 graduate programme are now closed.
Kite Packaging’s first Graduate Development Programme was launched in 2015. On the back of its success, applications are now open for our 2016 programme. We are looking for candidates to progress in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and 100% employee-owned company.
For the second year intake, we’re specifically looking for University Graduates who want to ‘Aim High’ and progress in a business that has gone from zero when it was founded in 2001, to one of the biggest players in the packaging industry.

We like to think of our graduate scheme as ‘The Real Apprentice’.
This is because unlike many graduate job programmes that are run by HR departments, Kite’s Programme is the personal passion of Kite Packaging’s Chairman, Bruce McInnes!
This Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to interface at a senior level within the company, and be provided with valuable experience and support. You will also report to, or be mentored by, a Kite Managing Partner, who will provide insight in to the operational side of Kite Packaging, and support you through the process.
Commencing August 2016, it will run over a two year period, and in that time you will participate in a modular programme. This is designed to give you exposure to a wide range of Kite’s functions and activities, unlike most other graduate jobs.
For each module you will work at a different branch and/or department every four months, receiving individual assessments at the end of each rotation. This will give you a feel for all aspects of Kite as a business, and help you to decide where your skills lie.
A permanent position is not guaranteed at the end of the Programme, however if you are successful you could be fast-tracked to a permanent Senior Management position.
Kite Packaging has eight site locations in the UK, and you could be working at any of them during the Graduate Programme.
Therefore, applicants looking to apply must be willing to re-locate on a fairly regular basis. If you are geographically constrained due to personal or other affecting circumstances then unfortunately you should not apply for Kite’s Graduate Development Programme.
Support with relocation costs will be provided throughout the programme, as part of your Graduate benefits package.
You will have an Induction Day in August with your Graduate Programme colleagues, to learn about the company and the way Kite operates. On this day we will provide you with details of your first module, and your key project for that four month period, which will start in 31st August 2016.
The projects are designed to help you enhance your skill-set and develop your expertise in a fast-growing business environment.
