ISO 14001

Kite was one of the first companies in our sector to be accredited to BS EN ISO 14001:2004 and since then we have embraced its philosophy by setting challenging targets that make a real impact to our effect on the environment.

These have included investment in the latest generation euro-compliant trucks (combined with effective route planning) and a significant drive to reduce printed documentation through to our Enviro range of products and energy efficient lighting.

Working with WRAP

Kite has invested a significant amount of time developing new product solutions to reduce the impact that packaging has on the environment.

As a result of this work Kite was nominated as Waste Research Action Programme's Retail Innovation Team Technical Advisers.

Enviro Products

Kite is uniquely placed to identify where packaging can be re-designed to reduce its weight and also improve the ease of recycling... thereby reducing the generation of waste in the first place.

Kite’s current range includes Envirobox, Envirobubble, and Envirofill.

Kite Environmental Solutions runs and operates Kite’s Compliance Scheme which helps its members to satisfy their obligations under The Packaging Regulations.

If your business has a turnover of more than £2m and handles more than 50 tonnes of packaging per annum then you’ll need to comply.
