Kite supplies various types of extruded thermoformed plastics in sheet or reel format and any colour or variation to suit requirements. Materials include PET (rPET, APET, PETG), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) & PS (HIPS), typically used on Form, Fill & Seal (FFS) vacuum machinery such as MultiVac & Ilpra.

Materials are manufactured in a food-grade environment compliant with BRC IOP. Lamination and sealing layers can be provided as required.

Expanded moulded or fabricated foams can provide an ideal alternative packing solution for heavy, fragile or irregular shaped products. When used in conjunction with corrugated board, plastic containers, totes or pallet stillages these foams can provide a safe re-usable packaging system.

Kite has experience in packaging design and testing (including UN dangerous goods), providing CAD design and samples in polyethylene (polythene, PE), polystyrene (PS), polyurethane (PU) and polypropylene (PP), as well as special variants within these materials such as flame retardant (FR).

In addition to the standard range of blister and clamshell packs, Kite can provide CAD design for bespoke solutions. Sample tooling will produce a small number of products for test and evaluation. Produced in BRC IOP environments, food grade packs can be heat, ultrasonic or manually (clamshell / clip) sealed.

Flexible or rigid films can be printed, from random repeat to registered printing, using a flexographic process in up to 8 colours within a food grade (BRC IOP) environment.

Origination and artwork proofing facilities are available. High quality direct-to-plate technology is used to ensure best in class printing.

Plastic (PP) corrugated sheet, Correx or Twinplast, is lightweight, waterproof & re-usable. Die-cut and creased, it can be used to form a durable pack, pallet containers or fittings.

It is available in various thicknesses and colours. Corona treated, it is ideal for signwriting.
