Compliance Fees

Kite works hard to minimise the cost of compliance to its Members and to attribute costs as fairly as possible. The fees payable are a combination of the Scheme fees and those payable to the Environment Agency via the Scheme.

Scheme Fees

A one-off payment to cover the initial costs associated with new members.



This is Kite’s fee and covers the cost of two half day’s help, site visits (based on a single site) during the assessment process, compiling your data, documenting your compliance assessment and registering you with the Environment Agency.

Environment Agency Fees

This is the Environment Agency charge in 2007 for registering with it through the Scheme.




It should be noted that the Environment Agency charge additional fees for registration after the 7th April 2007 and for any data resubmissions it requests. Please note that the 7th April is the schemes deadline and usually members data is required by the end of February.

Packaging Recovery Notes (PRNs)

By joining the KES Scheme your obligation to purchase PRNs is transferred to Kite. KES invoices Members on a quarterly basis for the PRNs it purchases on their behalf, spreading the cost of compliance across the year.
