Kite Packaging announced PepsiCo as the Environmental Leadership winners at the Food and Drink Federation Awards

Employee-owned business Kite Packaging remains the only employee-owned business in the packaging sector, providing solutions to a variety of customers. Its service offering for large accounts is a combination of bespoke packaging designs, consolidated stock product lines and high-level service solutions, operating from six branch locations across the UK and with expertise in all industry sectors including food, e-commerce and retail. They also operate the fastest growing online business in the packaging industry, where smaller businesses can purchase competitively priced stock product.

The Kite Group were honoured to attend and sponsor the food and drink federation awards 2017 and celebrate at the ceremony which showcased the success and achievements of the UK’s food and drink manufacturing industry, along with their Kite Environmental Solution customers, Riverford. Riverford delivers fresh fruit and veg to 47,000 homes around the UK from their regional farms along with locally sourced meat from trusted British farmers, whilst focusing on reducing, re-using and recycling their packaging.

The Kite Group was among the panel of experts tasked with choosing 21 prize awards based on inspiring, innovative and creative submissions to individuals and companies and were proud to sponsor the environmental leadership award. It was the perfect fit for Kite, as a company that always sets out to challenge themselves and everyone they deal with and are very passionate about the environment which they demonstrate through their successful environmental solutions business. Although impressed by all of the nominee’s determination to make changes, there could only be one winner and one, in particular, stood out to Kite as they proudly named PepsiCo as the winners - Due to their commitment to reduce the amount of water used to cultivate potatoes.
