Sealing tools

We stock a variety of sealing tools which accommodate PP, PET, and steel strapping.

Steel

For snap on seals, which are placed around steel strapping ends and then clamped shut, you have the choice of a 13mm, 16mm, and 19mm sealer. If you use lap over seals instead, there are sealers available in 13mm, 16mm, and 19mm.

Polypropylene and Polyester

When sealing PP and PET strapping, the tool you opt for will depend on the seals being used. For standard seals, we supply a 12mm variety which can only be used in conjunction with polypropylene strapping.

However, if serrated seals are better suited for your strapping needs, there are two sealers available in widths of 12mm and 16mm.

Strapping Sealers

Designed for serrated seals, our heavy-duty chrome steel strapping sealers guarantee a stronger seal than basic sealers. They are available in 12mm and 16mm, and can be used in both polypropylene and polyester strapping.

For steel strapping, we supply individual tools in 13mm, 16mm, and 19mm.

Combination Tool

Combining the tensioning and sealing function into one efficient tool, our combination tools are ideal for businesses where strapping occurs on a regular basis and in high volumes. Our combination tools are intended for horizontal, flat surfaces, and are great for strapping pallets and boxes.

We supply a variety of combination tools which can be used with polypropylene, polyester, and steel strapping.

Steel

Choose from a 13mm, 16mm, or 19mm combination tool depending on the width of steel strapping used in your business. These combination tools are only compatible with snap on seals.

Polypropylene and Polyester

Our 12mm combination tool for polypropylene strapping is available in entry-level and standard varieties depending on how frequently strapping takes place in your business. For heavy-duty uses where strapping occurs daily, consider opting for our 13mm and 16mm strapping which is compatible with both polypropylene and polyester strapping.

Heavy Duty Combination Tool

Available in 13mm and 16mm, our heavy duty combination tool is designed with ease of use in mind. It features a two-lever action for crimping and sealing, streamlining the strapping process by seamlessly integrating tensioning, sealing and cutting into one efficient tool.

Our heavy-duty combination tool can be used in conjunction with serrated seals to provide extra security to palletised goods.

Tensioners

Alternatively, if the cost of a combination tool cannot be justified for your needs, we also offer individual tensioning and sealing tools. These are common choices for businesses where strapping occurs infrequently.

The tensioning tool works on a flat surface, with strapping ends inserted into the tool after which tension is applied using the handle. After achieving the desired tension, our hand sealing tool can then be used to crimp the mental seal around the strap.

Polypropylene, Polyester & Corded Polyester

We supply a 12-19mm tensioning tool which can be used for both polypropylene and polyester strapping, as well as a separate 16-19mm tool for corded polyester strapping.

Steel

When it comes to steel, our versatile tensioner can be used on 13-19mm strapping in conjunction with snap-on seals. This tensioner is suitable for flat packages.

Pusher Tensioner for Steel Strapping

Perfect for use on irregular and flat packages, this pusher tensioner for steel strapping is designed for use with closed seals. This manual tool is portable and grants the flexibility for it to be used wherever strapping is taking place. It will efficiently tension banding, guaranteeing packages are secured for transit.

Compatible with 13-19mm steel strapping.

What’s the difference between pusher and standard steel tensioners?

Pusher tensioners work in exactly the same way as standard tensioners, except for requiring a lapover seal to secure the strapping into place while standard tensioners use open seals.

Lapover seals are ideal for irregular or round loads.

Strapping cutters

Steel strapping safety cutter

We stock two varieties of cutters, both of which can be used on polyester, polypropylene, corded, and steel strapping. Our safety cutter has rubber pads on both side of the cutter to prevent strapping from springing when it is cut. This is particularly handy for steel strapping.

Standard Cutter for Steel/PP Strap

Designed for cutting and trimming, this cutter is suitable for both steel and PP strapping. Its carbon steel drop-forged construction enhances the toughness of the cutter, ensuring reliability and durability across various strapping applications.

It features a PVC handle for greater grip and safety when trimming strapping.

Friction Weld Tools

Ideal for high volume strapping applications, our handheld friction weld tool can be used to wrap and seal both polypropylene and polyester strapping. Sealing strapping in this way increases the security and protection provided to goods, ensuring they are well-protected during handling and transit.

Cordless and lightweight, our friction welding tool is fully mobile and can be used anywhere in a warehouse where strapping may be occurring. Easy to operate, our friction weld tool is powered by a rechargeable battery and can be programmed with strapping and tensioning times for convenience.

Hurricane Friction Weld (Entry level)

Weighing 2.9kg, the Hurricane friction weld tool is great for securing medium to heavy loads with PP and PET strapping. Offering simplicity and ease of use, this tool is operated by pressing two buttons to tension and seal.

Available in 13mm and 16mm models, on a 5-7 day lead time.

9-16mm Economy GT Cordless Friction Weld Tool

Combining quality with affordability, this battery-operated cordless tool can be used with both polypropylene and polyester strapping. Operators can switch between the two different settings for both types of strapping, and battery life is also conveniently displayed, ensuring it does not run out without warning. Switches easily between width lengths.
