About Kite Packaging's Rotherham Regional Distribution Centre

Kite’s Rotherham Regional Distribution Centre covers a vast area meeting the Coventry Regional Distribution Centre at Nottingham, reaching North Yorkshire and spanning from the east to the west coast. The locations portfolio of customers range from retail to industrial and cover a full range of products including medical, electrical, food produce, clothing, toys and Aerospace & Defence. It specialises in offering packaging solutions whilst providing a level of service that is second to none.

Kite Packaging North has grown from strength to strength over the past few years. The Regional Distribution Centre increased its warehouse space from 20,000 to 30,000 sq. ft. by moving premises from Sheffield to Rotherham in 2013. The Rotherham site includes a fully enclosed yard and further room for stock holding to improve service and delivery for its customers. The RDC also has its own fleet of wagon and drag trucks which deliver to customers daily including the purchase of a brand new truck in early 2019.

The site is overseen by Steve Marples, Regional Manager and has a 26 strong team of employee partners who, because of Kite’s employee-owned philosophy, have a great interest in the service values offered to all of their customers. Performance and quality are of major importance to this site and all Kite locations throughout the country.

Rotherham has expertise in all forms of packaging and work together as a team to ensure that its customers receive the very best advice and solutions for their products. They benefit from an experienced and knowledgeable team of both Internal and External Account Managers covering the area.

Kite Packaging Rotherham - Case study

Kite Packaging North approached an industrial manufacturer in the north west, turning over £50m in the UK, with worldwide customers, and immediately spotted opportunities to reduce their packaging costs and increase their customers’ satisfaction.

Kite transformed the businesses packaging which consisted of over 80 different sizes, each held in stock on site, which provided poor protection and branding, and were slowing down the packing operation. Kite’s solution included reducing the number of packs from 80 to 4, reducing stock holding by 90%, providing consistent brand definition and vastly improved packing time.

From Sheffield, London, Leeds & Manchester:
Head towards the M1, Junction 34 and follow the A6109 Meadowbank Road to Rotherham. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit on to the A629 New Wortley Road. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A6123 towards Greasbrough. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit to Mangham Road, go straight on at the next two roundabouts, turn left after the low bridge and pick up our signs to bring you to our Reception.

From Doncaster, Newcastle & Hull:
Head to the M18 Junction 1 towards Rotherham on the A631. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit A6021, then 3rd exit A6021 Wickersley Road, then 3rd exit A6021 Herringthorpe Valley Road, then straight-on on the A6123 Aldwarke Lane, then turn left before the low bridge and pick up our signs to bring you to our Reception.

From Liverpool:
