Kite Packaging Does Comic Relief!

By Jake Kirk • Friday 13th March 2015

Our charitable activities continue, and our latest involvement is with Comic Relief! Here at Kite we love to get involved with fundraising events, and have a bit of fun. It’s even better when it gives us an excuse to eat some cake!

In the lead up to the event we have been busy raising some pennies at our Coventry office, and selling red noses to our team. There was even some tactical trading between departments to be the first to collect all nine noses in the set!

As well as sporting some wacky noses, we all dressed in red to support the cause. The sea of colour certainly perked everyone up!

The main event however was ‘The Great Kite Bake Off’ judged by our very own Paul Hollywood, Managing Partner, Gavin Ashe.

We have had some great entries from our very competitive employees. Cakes of all shapes and sizes competed, and our Kite star baker was Stephen Buckton, winning 1st prize for his two tiered chocolate vanilla sponge show stopper!

As a result of our fundraising we can also officially announce that we have raised £169.70 for Comic Relief. This will help provide education, HIV and Malaria treatment to children and adults in Africa, as well as support for young people, mental health causes and domestic violence networks here in the UK.
