How to protect recording equipment – The Packaging Doctor

By Carl Board • Monday 25th November 2019

We are now well and truly in our busiest period known as peak season and have been helping many people out here in the clinic. As always, we still find ourselves offering packaging solutions for products that have not been bought to our attention before (not to say people don’t buy packaging for them) and where the user has not requested our help.

We welcome Peter to the clinic, let’s see how we can help…

Dear Doctor,

I make ultrasonic microphones and recording equipment that needs to be waterproof as the weather is not dependable. The equipment is of some value and a microphone can be destroyed by a single raindrop hit.

Best wishes,

Peter

Hi Peter

Thank you for your question here in the surgery, let’s see how we can help.

We have come across something similar before, but it was to protect speakers from the rain and not microphones so it’s great to offer advice on something new.

I would propose sampling our clear blown flush core pallet wrap 400mmx250mm. With extremely high puncture resistance and high tack, it is suitable for cold environments and will be sure to protect your equipment

We look forward to hearing how you found this.

Best wishes,

The Packaging Doctor
