How do you shred cardboard for packing materials?

In order to create packaging materials from cardboard waste, businesses should invest in Kite’s industrial shredders for cost savings and a long-term eco-friendly solution. Cardboard boxes or other forms of, even heavy duty, cardboard can be inserted into the machine and transformed into shredded void fill material in seconds. Paper shredders are efficient and convenient methods of recycling cardboard into usable shredded materials. The shredded cardboard is configurated into shock absorbent pads with, often, greater strength than plastic alternatives such as bubble wrap. Cardboard packaging, when cut with a paper shredder, is highly effective shipping packaging and manufactured for free when our machines are integrated into your operation.

Can our shredders handle cardboard?

Absolutely. Kite’s industrial shredders provide the perfect eco-friendly solution to cardboard waste and can happily shred cardboard boxes in their entirety. This produces useful packaging materials whether you need to wrap products or fill voids within a box. The specific widths of cardboard that can be shredded are stated for each model below as this differs between machines.

Why invest in a cardboard shredder?

By eliminating the requirement to purchase bulky rolls of bubble wrap and other packing materials, a packaging material shredder is both a cost and space-saving device. 
Quickly slicing your surplus cardboard into thin strips provides you with cost-free, recycled material for filling void space within parcels and/or shipping containers for extra protection of the items within.
This system that facilitates the recycling of cardboard grants the user an eco-friendly way of reusing the paper waste often sent to them by suppliers. This quality material is typically disposed of but our industrial shredders enable the business to reuse the packaging in-house. 
The one-off investment will provide years of free packaging. All shredders come with a 2-year warranty (the machine is repaired back at the supplier). Warranty covers all aspects and parts as long as the machine is well maintained. It is recommended that the machine is cleaned and oiled each month if needed.

Cardboard shredder CP422S2i (single phase) and CP422S2 (three phase)

Available with a single phase or three phase plug, the CP422 is an industrial machine for creating up to 6 cubic metres of void fill per hour. Extremely popular when high volumes of parcels are needed to be filled.

Cardboard shredder CP430S2i
