Hand Pallet Trucks for Warehouses, Distribution Centres & Retail

Hand pallet trucks are essential manual handling tools designed to lift and move pallets quickly and safely across busy workspaces.

Built for long-lasting performance, a pallet truck from Kite Packaging is a smart investment for businesses that rely on consistent, heavy-duty performance. The nylon wheels are a key feature, resisting wear from spills, debris and rough flooring.

What Are the Benefits of a Hand Pallet Truck?

Fitted with a powerful hydraulic system, these pallet trucks make light work of moving loads.

  1. Effortless Movement: With stable steering and friction-resistant tandem wheels, our pallet trucks make moving both light and heavy loads easy - even in tight spaces.
  2. Versatile Across Environments: From shop floors to stockrooms, they’re suitable for a wide range of industries and workspaces.
  3. On-the-Go Weighing: Our pallet trucks range includes a model with a built-in scale for weighing items in transit. It’s easy to use, accurate to 0.5kg, and comes with a charger for convenience.
  4. Improved Workplace Safety: With manual handling injuries accounting for around 40% of work-related ill health, pallet trucks are recommended by the HSE as a simple way to minimise risk. To further reduce the risk of accidents occurring, secure your palletised loads with our industry-leading range of machine and hand pallet wrap.
  5. Adjustable Fork Height: The forks can be lowered to 85mm and raised to a maximum of 195mm, allowing you to lift pallets cleanly off the ground. This prevents dragging, reduces floor damage, and helps avoid accidents.

Need to stock up on pallets? We also offer a wide range of high-quality plastic and wooden pallets, along with durable pallet boxes.

FAQs

What is a Pallet Truck?

A pallet truck – also known as a pallet jack or pallet pump truck – is a manual handling tool designed to lift and move palletised loads quickly and safely.

Why Use a Pallet Truck?

As essential manual handling equipment, pallet trucks reduce the physical strain of lifting heavy goods by hand. They help improve efficiency, reduce the risk of injury, and support a safer, more productive working environment.

How Much Does a Hand Pallet Truck Cost?

Our standard hand pallet trucks start at just £189.00, with the scale model available at £499.99 – ideal for weighing goods in transit. Bulk discounts are also available, making them a cost-effective choice for busy operations. Compared to electric pallet trucks, hand pallet trucks offer excellent efficiency at a much lower investment.

How Much Weight Will a Pallet Jack Lift?

Most manual pallet jacks – including ours – can lift up to 2000kg, though weight capacity may vary depending on the manufacturer.

Can Manual Pallet Trucks Be Used for Stacking?

For safe and efficient pallet stacking, a pallet stacker is the better choice. You simply place a pallet into the machine, and it automatically lifts it to make space for the next one. Each new pallet is raised to join the stack above, allowing you to load more pallets quickly and easily. Once the stack is complete, it can be removed using a pallet truck, or individual pallets can be taken from the stack as needed.

Do Pallet Trucks Fall Under LOLER or PUWER?

Yes, pallet trucks fall under PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations), but only high-lift pallet trucks that raise loads above 300mm are classed as lifting equipment under LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations).

At Kite, our pallet trucks lift to a maximum height of 185mm, so they don't fall under LOLER. You’ll just need to ensure they’re well-maintained, used safely, and operated by trained staff in line with PUWER regulations.
